Mr Leung Chun-Ying graduated from King’s College Hong Kong; Hong Kong Polytechnic and Bristol Polytechnic UK. He has been awarded Honorary Doctorate degrees by four universities in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Shandong. He was Chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Hong Kong branch, President of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. Since the late 1970s, Mr Leung had participated in the land and housing reforms in the Mainland of China and helped facilitate the first land sale in the Mainland after China’s constitution was amended in 1988. Between 1997 and 2011, Mr Leung was a member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong and was the Convenor of the non-official members between 1999 and 2011. In March, 2012, Mr Leung was elected the fourth-term Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR. In March 2017, he was elected a Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

Lau Ming-Wai is the Chairman of Chinese Estates Holdings Limited and the Vice Chairman of the Bauhinia Foundation Research Centre. Mr Lau holds LLB, LLM, and PhD degrees from King’s College London and the London School of Economics, University of London. His PhD dissertation was published as a book by Oxford University Press in 2011. He has been a Visiting Lecturer at Harvard Law School since 2014. He is also a registered attorney in the State of New York and a CFA Charterholder. Mr Lau is active in public affairs in Hong Kong. He is the Chairman of Commission on Youth, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Ocean Park Corporation, Council Member of City University of Hong Kong, non-official member of Commission on Poverty, and member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee.

Mr. Tang is a lawyer by profession. He commenced his practice as a lawyer in England in 1967 and later in Hong Kong, initially as a solicitor and then as a barrister at the Hong Kong Bar. Over the years, Mr. Tang has served on professional bodies as well as a variety of boards and committees on various subjects, ranging from use of Chinese language in the courts (a localization initiative ahead of resumption of sovereignty over Hong Kong by the People’s Republic of China), to promotion of trial advocacy, and protection of employee compensation rights, etc. Mr. Tang’s appointments to substantive public service posts included serving as Chief Counsel to the Securities and Futures Commission, Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data and Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Commission. Currently, Mr. Tang is the Convenor and Chairman of the Board of the Hong Kong United Foundation Ltd., a non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion of constructive social discourse, opinion leadership, online multimedia publicity and communication, youth education and career development. Mr. Tang serves as a director of Belt and Road Hong Kong Centre Co. Ltd. and Bay Area Hong Kong Centre Co. Ltd.

Ms Sophia Kao was previously a Member of the Central Policy Unit of the Hong Kong SAR Government, Founding Chair of the Financial Reporting Council and Chair of the Women’s Commission. Prior to fully engaging in public and community service, Ms Kao had been at the helm of human resources in several major private and public institutions for 28 years. She is currently Vice Chairperson of the Hong Kong Federation of Women, co-opted Director of Hong Kong YWCA, Joint President of the Society of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Director of Yat Po Singers Limited. Ms Kao was bestowed Honorary Fellowships by Lingnan University, The Open University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2006, 2010 and 2011 respectively, and Honorary Doctorate by The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2016. She was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 2003, and honoured with a Silver Bauhinia Star in 2009 and Gold Bauhinia Star in 2017 by the Hong Kong SAR Government.

Mr Lau Ping-Cheung, a chartered surveyor by profession, graduated from the then Hong Kong Polytechnic (now Hong Kong Polytechnic University) and holds a Master Degree in Construction Project Management from The University of Hong Kong. He is a past president and a current fellow of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, a past chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Hong Kong Branch), a past chairman of the Surveyors Registration Board, a former member of the Hong Kong SAR Legislative Council, a former non-executive director of the Urban Renewal Authority, a member of the defunct Economic Development Commission and a member of the defunct Long Term Housing Strategy Steering Committee, a former member of the Council of The City University of Hong Kong and a current member of the Council of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Mr Lau is a member of the National Committee of the Thirteenth of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. The Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth of CPPCC, Shanghai Committee, a member of China Overseas Friendship Association and a member of the Shanghai Chinese Overseas Friendship Association. Mr Lau is also the Chairman of the Hong Kong Coalition of Professional Services and serves as a member of the Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee, a member of the Lantau Development Advisory Committee, Vice Chairman of Professional Services Advancement Support Scheme Vetting Committee under Commerce and Economic Development Bureau. Currently, Mr Lau is the Managing Director of Biel Asset Management Co., Ltd., and an independent Non-Executive Director of MTR Corporation Limited and Kingboard Laminates Holdings Ltd.

Mr. Cheung obtained his Bachelor Degree of Social Sciences and Master Degree in Business Administration at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is currently the Executive Director of One Country Two Systems Research Institute, Directors of Hong Kong Development Forum, Belt and Road Hong Kong Centre and Bay Area Hong Kong Centre. He is also a Member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Member of the Independent Commission Against Corruption Complaints Committee, Member of the University Grants Committee and Council Member of the Chinese Association of Hong Kong and Macao Studies. Mr. Cheung was a Non-official Member of the Executive Council of the Fourth Term Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and a Member of the Commission on Strategic Development. He was awarded a Bronze Bauhinia Star in 2011 and appointed as a Justice of the Peace in 2014. In 2017, he was awarded a Gold Bauhinia Star.

Mr Peter Sit is a Senior Partner of Sit, Fung, Kwong & Shum, a solicitor in Hong Kong, a Notary Public and a China-Appointed Attesting Officer. He is a Member of the Standing Committee on Standards and Development of the Law Society of Hong Kong and an Examiner of the Overseas Lawyers Qualification Examination. In public service, Mr Sit is a Council Member of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Chairman of the University’s Governance Committee; he is a member of the Standing Committee on Directorate Salaries and Conditions of Service, the Air Transport Licensing Authority and the Appeal Board Panel (Town Planning).

He was an experienced banker with 38 years of banking experience, embracing strong strategic thinking, international vision and innovative mindset.he had held different positions in a number of domestic and overseas institutions of BOC, and he engaged in and took charge of a number of different business areas including personal finance, corporate finance, financial market, investment banking and risk management.
